paint protection film in everett
The work we are known for, installed to Black Label standard.
Paint protection film is a clear urethane layer applied over your paint. It absorbs the rock chips, road debris, bug acid, and winter grit that would otherwise reach your finish, and it heals itself: light scratches and swirl marks disappear with heat from the sun or a heat gun. When the film is eventually removed, the paint underneath looks the way it did the day it was installed.
We install STEK DYNOseries film. Because we are a Black Label shop, we edit every pattern by hand rather than cutting straight from the plotter. For you, it means film wrapped around the edges rather than stopping short of them, and coverage in the places mass-market installations leave bare: hood lips, mirror backs, door cups, and the leading edge of the roof.
Partial front. Bumper, partial hood, partial fenders, and mirrors. The highest-value protection for daily driving on I-5 and Highway 99.
Full front. Full hood, full fenders, bumper, mirrors, and headlights. The most common choice for a new vehicle.
Track package. Built for cars that see real speed and real debris.
Full body. Every painted surface, for exotics, collectibles, and vehicles you intend to keep.
Custom coverage. Shaped around how and where you actually drive.
Every installation is backed by STEK 10-year warranty coverage, and we are fully insured. If you are uncertain which level of coverage suits your vehicle, we will look at it with you and explain what we would recommend and why.
frequently asked questions
We believe clarity brings comfort — so here are the questions we’re asked most often, answered with care.
How much does paint protection film cost in Everett?
Cost depends on how much of the vehicle you are covering and on the vehicle itself. A partial front on a sedan and a full-body installation on a wide-body exotic are very different pieces of work. We will look at your vehicle and give you a firm price for the coverage levels that make sense for it.
How long does paint protection film last?
STEK DYNOseries film carries a 10-year warranty. Real-world life depends on conditions and care, but a properly installed film should see you through a decade without yellowing or lifting.
Is paint protection film worth it?
That depends on the vehicle and how long you intend to keep it. On a new car you plan to own for years, front-end film usually costs less than a single repaint of the hood and bumper, and it protects resale value in a way touch-up paint cannot. On an older vehicle you plan to sell soon, ceramic coating is often the better investment. We will tell you which one we would choose.
What is the difference between paint protection film and ceramic coating?
Paint protection film is physical protection: a urethane layer that absorbs impact from rock chips and road debris. Ceramic coating is chemical protection: a hard, hydrophobic layer that resists UV, chemical staining, and water spotting, and makes washing far easier. They solve different problems, and they are frequently installed together, with coating applied over the film.
What is a STEK Black Label installer?
Black Label is STEK USA’s designation for a select group of top installers nationwide who meet its highest standards for training, craftsmanship, and customer care. Blue Star Auto Salon earned Black Label status in 2025.
Do you protect boats as well as cars?
Yes. As a STEK Marine installer, we protect boats, jet skis, and yachts with marine protection film, marine ceramic coating, and marine window tint, in addition to full automotive services.
How dark can I legally tint my windows in Washington?
Washington sets its window tint limits under RCW 46.37.430. On the front side windows, every vehicle must allow more than 24% VLT, whether it is a car, truck, SUV, or van. The windshield permits only a non-reflective strip above the AS-1 line. Limits for the glass behind the driver depend on how your vehicle is classified, so we will confirm what applies to yours before any film goes on the glass.
What tint shades do you carry?
We carry the full range: 5%, 15%, 20%, 35%, 45%, and 70% VLT. The right choice depends on your vehicle class, which windows you are tinting, and whether you are after heat rejection, privacy, or both. At 70% the film is nearly invisible and still blocks a significant amount of heat and UV. The darker shades have their place as well, usually on the glass behind the driver or with a documented medical exemption.
